Information for new players...
Training
We train every Tuesday from 7-9pm at Bristol Metropolitan College, Snowdon Road, Fishponds. There is ample parking, and every fortnight we receive expert coaching from Paul. All other training sessions are taken by an experienced member of the club.
Matches
Our matches are generally every other Saturday. The first team play at The Grange, Warmley, while the second and third teams play at venues in Bradley Stoke.
Fees
As a newcomer to the club we let you have the first two weeks free, to ensure that you have time to decide if you want to join us. You will then be required to pay £3.00 for the next four weeks, and then after this period we hope that you will set up a direct debit like the rest of the club. Your direct debit will be for £15 per month all year round, to help spread the cost, and helps to pay league fees, court fees, equipment etc and also allows us to have a few pounds in the bank for unexpected costs!
New players will be required to give a cheque for £30 as a deposit to cover any kit which they are given, the cheque will be returned once a player becomes a regular member of the squad.
The only other cost for players is the £2.50 you'll pay on a Saturday to cover the cost of the umpire.
Commitment and enthusiasm
Whilst we all play netball to improve our skills, keep fit and simply to socialise with the other girlies, we do all have a level of commitment - turning up to training on a regular basis and being available to play most matches. We understand that not all training sessions and matches can be made, but in order for us to survive as a club and hopefully win matches, we need a certain level of commitment and enthusiasm from you.
Socialising
We organise club socials at least a couple of times a year, in addition to the annual Christmas party and our tour to Brean Sands every May/September.
